A beloved Minneapolis sandwich shop will soon bring its signature house-made pastrami to the west metro.

Be'Wiched Deli has been a favorite in the North Loop for the past decade, Eater says. The chef-driven deli focuses on artisanal sandwiches using meats that are cured and smoked in-house, alongside freshly made salads and soups, as well as a killer weekend brunch menu.

The deli is especially known for its heavily spiced pastrami, whether it's served on rye with pickled cabbage and coarse mustard, or piled high on the Be'Wiched signature breakfast sandwich and eggs benny.

The secret of the tasty meat? Owner and chef Mike Ryan, whose culinary resume includes Cucina and Restaurant Alma, uses beef that's pasture-raised in Minnesota.

Ryan first opened the Washington Avenue spot along with chef Matthew Bickford in 2007, and the two have long been on the hunt for a second location, according to the Star Tribune

They found a great spot about five years ago, but held off on creating another Be'Wiched, instead opening the popular restaurant and concert venue Icehouse in 2012.

But the time has finally come for expansion – and Plymouth is ready for the meat sweats. A second Be'Wiched is moving into an office building off of Highway 55.

The restaurant is currently hiring staff and should be opening soon, Eater says.
