Photos: A look inside the revamped, iconic Commodore before it reopens

From the paneled bar to the final ingredient on the drink menu, the Commodore Bar and Restaurant will take you back in time to the years following prohibition.

After being closed to the public for more than 30 years, the iconic hotspot in St. Paul will reopen Oct. 27 at 79 Western Ave. N. on the main floor of the former Commodore Hotel, which gained notoriety when F. Scott Fitzgerald lived and wrote there.

The bar, which opened in 1934, has been restored to its original art deco design, and has served as an inspiration for the rest of the restaurant, owner John Rupp told BringMeTheNews.
