Photos: Construction complete on Minneapolis' newest music venue

The Fillmore Minneapolis opens its doors next month.

Construction has finally been completed on a mixed-use development near Target Field that includes Minneapolis' newest music venue.

The Fillmore Minneapolis opens its doors to revelers for the first time next month, as it plays host to a three-night residency by Brandi Carlile, who has been tapped to play the inaugural shows at 525 Fifth St. N.

Images have been released of what concert-goers can expect of the 1,850-capacity venue, which is set across 36,000-square-feet of space decorated with chandeliers and vintage concert posters.

The building that houses it is also home to an Element by Westin hotel, complete with 156 guest rooms, as well as Trax Burgers and Bar, situated next door to the Fillmore.

The building has been developed by United Properties, and it's found opposite the Be The Match building on North 5th Street, and adjacent to Target Field Station.

It's addition to the North Loop neighborhood should provide an additional boost to the myriad craft breweries situated nearby, which includes Fulton, Modist Brewing, Inbound Brewing, and Number Twelve Cider.

"Fillmore Minneapolis will be the destination for people looking for an evening of live music with great food and drinks," said Rick McKelvey, United Properties' senior vice president, development.

"Whether you are at Fillmore Minneapolis for a show, attending a Twins game with family, or in town for business, Element by Westin offers a fresh, comfortable and convenient place to stay while visiting Minneapolis."

"We are particularly grateful to Hennepin County and the Minnesota Twins for the support they've provided us throughout the development process. Their bold vision for Target Field Station will provide great benefits to our community for decades," he added.

Live Nation is the concert booker for the Fillmore. You can find more information on the first few months of shows here.
