The lineup for one of Minnesota's most popular summer music festivals is out, generating excitement among music lovers.

The two-day Cities 97 Basilica Block Party will feature headliners Weezer and Wilco on the Sun Country Airlines Stage, with O.A.R. and Fitz and the Tantrums on the PreferredOne stage, it was announced Thursday.

Other featured acts include Nate Ruess (of the band Fun.), Jason Isbell, Jenny Lewis, Mat Kearney, and Echosmith.

The festival runs July 10 and 11.

The Star Tribune called the 2015 lineup a combination of "familiar names, pleasant surprises and up-and-coming newcomers."

The Basilica Block Party will compete with other big summer music shows, including Rock the Garden and the new Eaux Claires festival. Big summer concerts are also planned by the Rolling Stones, One Direction, Foo Fighters, the Dave Matthews Band and lots more.

It's the 20th year for the Basilica Block Party, which began in 1995 as a fundraiser to help pay for the $9.5 million structural restoration of The Basilica of Saint Mary. Proceeds since then have continued to fund renovations of the landmark building.

A limited quantity of pre-sale tickets go on sale April 30 for Cities 97 Frequent Listener Club members. Pre-sale ticket prices are $45 for a single-night pass and $80 for two-night passes. General admission tickets go on sale May 2 with single-night tickets at $50 and two-night passes costing $90.

At the door, tickets will be $60 for one night and $100 for two nights.
