Prince announces 2 'Paisley Park After Dark' parties

A few months after jamming at his pajama party, Prince is coming back to Paisley Park this weekend for a couple more public parties, the Star Tribune reports.

The Purple One has announced two events Friday and Saturday night that he's calling "Paisley Park After Dark." The events aren't being advertised as concerts, but the Star Tribune is suggesting that's what will end up happening, citing the poster's tease: "U never know what might happen."

The Paisley Park After Dark events are the first public shows at the musician's Chanhassen studio complex since Prince's "Pajama Dance Party" in October, when he took the stage with 3rdEyeGirl at about 4 a.m.

Cover for the shows is $30 at the door each night, and no advance tickets are being sold. No recording devices will be allowed at the events, which are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. and end at 2 a.m.

Prince got up close and personal with fans earlier this month when he took over Arsenio Hall's talk show on the CW for an entire hour. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the normally press-shy musician opened up the microphone to Hall’s audience for a Q&A during the special appearance, even discussing some of his pet peeves.

Continuing the knack for comedy he displayed on his post-Super Bowl appearance on FOX’s “New Girl,” Prince also amused the audience with his some of his answers, and helped a fan end a relationship with the man's girlfriend on the phone.

Two weeks ago, Prince released the full version of the Zooey Deschanel-backed track, called “FALLINLOVE2NITE,” which made its debut on his "New Girl" episode.
