Fox 9 's Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard will return to work at the TV station on Monday.

The Pioneer Press reports that Leonard has been out for 9 weeks.

In an interview, with FOX 9 in November Leonard said he suffered a serious concussion during a fantasy soccer camp in early October. Leonard said his nose was broken after he was accidentally punched by another player in the game.

After seeing a neurologist, Leonard was diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome.

He told the Pioneer Press that, "It was something I'd never heard of before. I spent five weeks in my bedroom, in the dark not watching TV or being on the computer. They say brain rest is absolute in this thing."

Leonard sat alone in the dark listening to iRadio and sucking on hard candy, anything else triggered massive headaches and a ringing in the ears, according to the Star Tribune.

Leonard woke up on Nov. 30 and felt like himself again. He plans to return to work next week.

Although, don't expect any more soccer games in Leonard's future. He told the Pioneer Press that he intends to retire his goalie gloves and cleats in the spring.
