Slowly but surely, The Replacements are giving fans more chances to see them live.

The Current says Shaky Knees Festival organizers Wednesday added the legendary Minneapolis alt-rock band to the lineup of this year's celebration in Atlanta.

The festival, set for May 9-11, will also feature Minnesota bands Trampled by Turtles and Hold Steady.

The Replacements took the music world by surprise last year with an unexpected set of reunion gigs at RiotFest concerts in Toronto, Chicago and Denver in August and September.

Consisting of original band members Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson, The Replacements last month also announced they would be also be playing the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, in April.

Coachella runs two weekends, April 11-13 and April 18-20, and The Replacements will play two Friday gigs, on April 11 and 18.

The Replacements' reunion gigs are the first since the band quietly disappeared after a July 4, 1991 show in Chicago.

The group was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October, but missed the final cut for the class of 2014 in December.
