Acclaimed Minneapolis alternative rockers The Replacements are re-forming for yet another reunion gig – this time at one of the hottest music festivals of the year, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The band was among the lineup of musicians announced Wednesday night for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, the Times says.

The festival runs two weekends, April 11-13 and April 18-20. The Replacements will play two Friday gigs, on April 11 and 18.

It appears that the group is getting back together just in time for the festival. The Star Tribune says Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson is scheduled to play with Guns N' Roses up to two days before The Replacements' first Coachella gig.

According to the Star Tribune, Coachella organizers have tried to reunite The Replacements before.

The paper says Stinson in past interviews alluded to how the festival reportedly tried to get he and front man Paul Westerberg to do a Replacements reunion gig several years ago.

The Coachella appearances in April will be the first for The Replacements since an unexpected set of reunion gigs for the band at RiotFest concerts in Toronto, Chicago and Denver in August and September.

The Toronto gig was the first for The Replacements since the band quietly disappeared after a July 4, 1991 show in Chicago.

The Replacements were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October, but missed the final cut for the class of 2014 in December.
