Report: Music from Prince's vault to be released by JAY-Z's Roc Nation, Tidal

It'll be the second album featuring songs from Prince's vault.

Never before heard music from Prince will be released by JAY-Z's Roc Nation in 2019, according to a news release from the Prince Estate and Tidal on Friday. 

According to Variety, the album will be released via Tidal for two weeks and then be made available for download. It'll feature different songs from Prince's vault than those that will be on the album being released by Warner Brothers Records in September. 

The Warner Bros. record will feature songs that were created before 1996 while the album Jay-Z is helping produce will feature post-1996 songs.

Prince worked with Tidal when he released HITnRUN Phase One and HITnRUN Phase Two, both of which were released in late 2015. 

Prince died just over two years ago of a opioid overdose at his Paisley Park home in Chanhassen.
