Rescue center issues Valentine's appeal for cat with heart on his fur
A Minnesota animal rescue made a Valentine's appeal to support a "hot mess" of a cat with a heart shape on his fur.
Ruff Start Rescue issued the appeal for help paying for the struggling cat's care in the days leading up to Feb. 14, calling their new arrival ... well, Valentine.
The Princeton rescue center says that the 8-year-old cat was brought in by a Good Samaritan, "likely spent many years fending for himself," and needs "a lot of TLC to recover."
Among his ailments, "badly frostbitten ears and mangled teeth," which will likely require his ears being removed, with further trouble caused by "terrible urinary and upper respiratory infections."
"Valentine deserves a chance at a healthy and happy life," the center says, adding that "You can support care for Valentine and other animals like him by donating to our animal care fund. Help make Valentine's Day a special day for all at-risk animals in need!"
The center is asking for donations to pay for the care Valentine needs. You can donate here.
