The Mall of America has been chosen for a tech retailer's first store in Minnesota.
b8ta, which offers an "interactive shopping experience" giving shoppers the chance to test some of the latest state-of-the-art gadgets and tech, will open later this year on Level 1, South.
The 2,900 square-foot store will allow visitors to "try the latest products out-of-the-box and in person," with products ranging from audio and visual, to health, home, kids, lifestyle and outdoor.
“b8ta’s commitment to inviting guests to have an innovative hands-on experience with their products in a brick-and-mortar environment made for a perfect choice to open their first Minnesota location at Mall of America," said MOA VP of Leasing Carrie Charleston in a press release.
"There is something for everyone at Mall of America and we look forward to giving our tech-focused shoppers a new and exciting getaway for all things innovation."
b8ta has 17 other locations across states including Texas, California, Washington, New York, Arizona, and Oregon, as well as in Chicago.
Speaking of tech, another new addition to the MOA opened on Saturday on Level 3, North, across from Culinary on North.
Called The Void, it offers "immersive virtual experiences" using VR technology and "multi-sensory effects" including touch and smell, as it brings visitors on "journeys to fully-immersive worlds."
The first world they can experience is Lucas-themed, with the attraction opening with "Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire."
