Robbinsdale pizza joint gets green light to start brewing beer
The restaurant group that helped turn Robbinsdale trendy is adding another string to its bow.
Pig Ate My Pizza, which part of the the Travail Collective, was given the green light to start making beer at its soon-to-be-new Robbinsdale after unanimous approval to grant a liquor license was given at a recent city council meeting.
It will open this spring amidst a little game of musical restaurants by the restaurant group, with Pig Ate My Pizza moving into the former Travail Kitchen and Amusements space at 4124 West Broadway from its current location further up the street.
Travail meanwhile has moved temporarily to Lowry Hill in Minneapolis, where it's started a 6-month residency featuring three different tasting experiences.
It will then move back to Robbinsdale in the summer, when its new, $1 million restaurant is ready across the street from its former space that will soon become home to Pig Ate My Pizza.
