Citing growing demand at her media-consulting company, Roshini Rajkumar announced Sunday her final show at WCCO Radio will be Sept. 5.

Rajkumar has been at "The Good Neighbor" for the past nine years, serving as the host of Real Talk With Roshini on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.

"I'm announcing the sunset of Real Talk With Roshini. This month we celebrate nine years of this show," Rajkumar said. "It's so fun and it's great to get texts from people who enjoy listening to us together. I just so enjoy this show for nine years on Sundays."

She added: "I'm really, really pleased that I can say at this nine-year mark, there have been a lot of things that I've been able to bring you. I've been enriched, enlightened by all of you listeners .... so a very big thank you."

Rajkumar said her business, Roshini Multi-Media, Inc., has garnered more attention and continuing to do the radio show would be a difficult "balancing act."

"A little bittersweet," she said. "I needed to make this decision really for my business."

Rajkumar plans to continue contributing to online features for WCCO.

It's unclear what WCCO Radio plans to do to fill her time slot at 9 a.m. Sundays.
