With the weather warming up in Minnesota, this is your last chance to see the Ice Castles in New Brighton.
The attraction at Long Lake Regional Park will close for the season on Saturday, ahead of a warmup that will see temperatures touch the high 40s by midweek.
The Ice Castles opened on Jan. 17, running for six weeks with the exception of one Sunday when it had to close down due to warm temperatures.
The castle features hundreds of thousands of "hand-placed icicles" and features carved tunnels, fountains, slides, thrones and towers.
"We always hope to remain open until early March, however with the mild temperatures we have had this winter, and more warm weather in the forecast, we decided it was in the best interest of our guests to close our Minnesota location this Saturday," an Ice Castles spokesperson said.
"The last two seasons in Minnesota Ice Castles remained open until the first weekend in March, but the 2 seasons before that we closed in February."
You can still get tickets for the final day of business, but you might want to book your tickets here in case they sell out, with Ice Castles noting that several slots are already booked up.
