Saturday was a record-setting day at the Minnesota State Fair, with more people attending the fair than any single day in the fair's illustrious history.

According to fair officials, 270,426 people walked through the gates to the Great Minnesota Get-Together, breaking the previous record of 260,374 on the second Saturday of the 2016 fair.

This year's fair has a chance to break the all-time record for total attendance, which was set in 2017 when 1,997,320 went to the fair.

Without counting attendance for Sunday and Labor Day Monday, this year's attendance is at 1,633,843 people.
