Seltzerland hard seltzer festival returns to Minneapolis in May
A festival dedicated to hard seltzer is returning to Minneapolis this spring.
Seltzerland, a nationally touring event by Cannonball Productions, will be held at Theodore Wirth Par 3 Golf Course in Minneapolis on May 15.
"With the rapid growth of the hard seltzer industry, we created Seltzerland to give consumers an opportunity to sample new flavors in the most fun way possible. With one-of-a-kind activations, brand new seltzer varieties, and beautiful golf courses, Seltzerland is a can't miss experience. Following nine events in eight cities, we are excited to make our way back to Minneapolis to provide a safe, socially distanced opportunity for people to explore new flavors and enjoy incredible drinks with friends." Cannonball Productions CEO & Founder Kate Levenstien said in a news release.
The event made its first appearance in Minneapolis last fall and it sold out. Tickets for this year's event are $29 for the 2.5-hour experience and are available online here, with a portion of ticket sales going to Voices for Racial Justice. (VIP tickets are $49.)
Attendees will get to try more than 50 flavors of hard seltzer from various brands while they stroll around the golf course (no golfing is involved).
Among the brands serving at the socially distanced festival: White Claw, Mike's Hard Lemonade Seltzer, Vizzy, Playamr, Basic and Coors Seltzer.
There will also be "brunch bites" available to sample.
COVID safety
Seltzerland says it's focused on making sure the event is safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
When you buy a ticket, you'll sign up for a "tee time" that are available every 10 minutes for a group of 20 or less.
Among the precautions:
- Vendors and staff will wear protective gloves and regularly wash their hands. The public is also encouraged to wash hands frequently, use hand sanitizer, and wear a face mask while not sampling.
- Attendees within different time slots must maintain at least six feet of space between each other, and vendors will also be spaced out accordingly to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
- Restrooms will have a devoted porter to regularly clean in between uses.
