Sever's Fall Festival includes a drive-through storytime this year
The 2020 Sever's Fall Festival will happen this year, with a new event for families amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to the popular Fall Festival, which features a corn maze, jumping pillows, a petting zoo, and more, Sever's has adapted to the pandemic to offer something for the family in its new Stories, Riddles & Rhymes drive-through storytime on the festival grounds in Shakopee.
For this, Sever's teamed up with local artist Brian Sobaski to create a 3/4-mile trail that winds through tree farms, cornfields and prairies, featuring large-scale illustrations of a chicken, a squirrel named Hayley and more.
Stories, Riddles & Rhymes began Aug. 21 and runs on Thursdays-Sundays until Nov. 1. The Fall Festival, which is sporting an Amazon theme for its 24th season, runs Sept. 11-Nov. 1.
Tickets for the Fall Festival and Corn Maze are sold exclusively online, while tickets to the Stories, Riddles & Rhymes and Sever's Holiday Lights (Nov. 26-Jan. 3) are sold online and at the door. Attendance will be limited due to COVID-19.
All events are held at the Sever's Festival Grounds, 3121 W 150 St., in Shakopee.
