You can't keep a good woman down. Shania Twain, the top-selling female country artist of all time, is making a comeback.

The global superstar is hitting the road next year in support of her fifth studio album, NOW, which comes out later this fall.

She'll make a stop at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on May 15. Tickets are priced from to $29.95 to $149.95 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Aug. 25 through Ticketmaster.

The last time Twain came to Minnesota was back in 2015, on a tour she claimed would be her last. Judging by her fan page, Twain's devotees are excited she changed her mind and is releasing a new album, her first in 15 years.

During Twain's hiatus, she did a couple of tours performing her old hits, but she lost her voice as well as her songwriting partner.

These problems forced her to cancel shows, and she was diagnosed with dysphonia, a vocal-cord disorder that causes hoarseness and trouble speaking. She also ended her 15-year marriage after finding out her husband was having an affair with her closest friend.

In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, Twain says learning to accept her new, deeper voice hasn't been easy.

"I'm a different singer now," she told the magazine. "There was a lot of coming to terms with that. It's been one of the obstacles in my life I've just had to learn to live with."

But her vocals are definitely still recognizable, and the heartbreak the singer endured inspired her to write all of the songs on this album by herself, The Boot says.
