A 7-foot-plus monster will join a crowd of thousands of ghouls when the Zombie Pub Crawl emanates from Minneapolis next month.

Said monster goes by another name, Shaquille O'Neal, the former Los Angeles Laker and all-round NBA legend.

He also goes by another name, DJ Diesel, and he'll be spinning tunes in that guise when he takes to the stage in Northeast Minneapolis on Oct. 13.

It's not the first time this year Shaq has performed in the Twin Cities under his DJ Diesel name (well, Minneapolis is the spiritual home of the Lakers after all).  You might remember he was among the acts booked for Super Bowl week.

He's included among the many musical acts booked for this year's crawl, joining headliners Alison Wonderland and ASAP Ferg across three stages, at Bauhaus Brewing, 612 Brew and ABLE.

There will also be live wrestling courtesy of F1rst Wrestling, the return of the "World Brain Eating Championships," and carnival rides, not to mention the horde of zombies.

As usual, the crawl will attempt to beat its 2014 Guinness World Record for the world's largest zombie pub crawl.

Tickets cost $28, which can be bought here. You can also spend $80 for VIZ (Very Important Zombie) tickets.
