Someone in Minnesota is in possession of a lottery ticket worth $21.6 million.

The ticket for the Lotto America draw on Wednesday was sold at the Holiday Stationstore at 14075 Ramsey Boulevard in Ramsey.

The ticket matches all 5 winning numbers plus the Star Ball: 16, 22, 32, 36, 42 and Star Ball 8.

"We are thrilled to have a jackpot winner in Minnesota!" said Minnesota Lottery Executive Director Adam Prock.

"The winner should put the ticket somewhere safe, get any advice that they need and then call us to make arrangements to claim their prize."

The Holiday store that sold the ticket has previously sold a $1 million winning ticket and two $50,000 tickets.

It will receive a $10,000 bonus for the latest winning ticket sale.

The winner has a year to claim the prize, and has the choice of taking $21.6 million as 30 payments over 29 years, or the cash option of $14.2 million before tax.

It's the second time that a Minnesotan has won a Lotto America jackpot, with a family from Badger, Minnesota, winning $22.8 million last year.
