The couple behind Soul Bowl and B.A.D. Wingz in Minneapolis is opening a second Soul Bowl location in Richfield.
The restaurant from chef Gerard Klass and his wife Brittney Klass recently posted to Instagram saying it's hiring for its new Richfield location that is "coming soon." A post a few weeks ago said it was opening in "late July."
Soul Bowl says it'll be serving "all your favorite Soul Bowl dishes and few more West Indian dishes."
According to Eater, they're opening a to-go and delivery spot in a strip mall on Chicago Avenue South and will be available on the popular food delivery apps.
Brittney Klass is from Richfield, Eater notes.
Soul Bowl was born in November 2017, according to the restaurant's website, with the Klass' serving a "contemporary take on soul food" in build-your-own bowls that are made fresh at pop-up locations before opening at Grave Provisions and Libations in Minneapolis' North Loop. In 2019, the Klass' landed a concession stand at Target Field.
The website says their goal is to scale nationwide to become the nation's first fast-casual soul food restaurant.
The Klass also opened B.A.D. Wingz, a Black-owned wing joint with bold and delicious flavors for vegans and vegetarians, as well as meat-eaters, in Graze late last year.
