Tom's Watch Bar will open its first location in the Midwest in downtown Minneapolis next year.
The bar and restaurant – which promises "all the sports, all the time" – will move into Suite 101 in the City Center building, which is the space formerly occupied by Rosa Mexicano and Prime 6 at the corner of Hennepin and 6th Street.
Just six Tom's Watch Bar locations are currently open, according to its website, in Colorado, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Connecticut and Washington.
The main draw is what Tom's calls a "central oversized 'stadium' screen." Surrounding this feature are hundreds of additional screens, providing "360-degree viewing," the company says, for patrons to enjoy "highly curated sports programming."
That includes college and professional leagues, international events, prize fights, plus the obscure athletic odds and ends.
Customers also have "premium" or personalized sound options, depending on what they want to hear.
The menu features a lot of the fare you would expect at a sports bar: Beer, burgers, beer, wings, beer, pizza, beer, tacos, beer, nachos, etc. Though there are a handful of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options from which to choose.
The City Center location is expected to open in 2022.
