St. Paul Farmers' Market reveals 2021 schedule for Lowertown, suburban markets

The summer season kicks off on Apr. 24.

St. Paul Farmers' Market has released the schedule for its popular Lowertown market and the regular markets it holds in east metro cities over the summer months.

The market will kick off for the summer in Lowertown on the weekend of April 24-25, and will be held ever weekend from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday until the weekend of Nov. 20-21.

The opening weekend will see 35 vendors open for business, with more joining as the weeks go on. Visitors can expect a selection of root veggies, eggs, mushrooms, micro greens, meat including beef, lamb, pork, poultry's duck, and goose, and a selection of pantry items such as salsa, granola, spices and sauces.

David Kotsonas, director of operations at the St. Paul Farmers' Market Association, says that the early spring weather suggests an "early and bountiful produce season."
