Fans of arcade games in St. Paul now have a new haunt to visit in the West Seventh neighborhood.

The St. Paul Tap – Sports Bar & Gaming Co. opened its doors in mid-November and is an entertainment haven, featuring modern and classic video games, wall-to-wall pinball, giant Jenga, 8-person foosball, and puck bowling.

It claims to be the first of its kind in the market offering free play Fortnite, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, and Mario Kart on its 6 Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and Nintendo Switch stations.

And if games aren't your thing, the bar has live sports and a wide range of food and drink, establishing itself as a champion of St. Paul-brewed craft beer, with local and metro area brews dominating the tap list.

Its menu features a "You Dream It, We Build It!" option, where diners can construct their own custom sandwiches.

You can find the bar at 825 West Jefferson Avenue just off of I-35E, which used to be home to the Tavern on the Avenue.

The building was bought in June by Mike Tupa, who has been a bar owner/operator for 22 years and counts Wild Bill's Sports Saloon, The Smilin' Moose Lodge Bar & Grill, and Babes Music Bar & Grill among his establishments.

Since taking over, Tupa has remodeled the space to give it a "fun, rustic, cozy feel," he told BMTN.

He also has plans for when the weather warms up. A new patio has already been built and by the time spring arrives it will be joined by a full-service bar outside along with booth and table seating.
