Streep-Roberts film wins top honors at Twin Cities Film Fest

The Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts drama "August: Osage County" was named Best Feature Film at the 2013 Twin Cities Film Fest, organizers announced Sunday.

The historical drama "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" took the Audience Award, while "Delivery," a horror film directed and produced by Woodbury natives Brian Netto and Adam Schindler, took the Indie Vision Award.

Both "Delivery" and the Minnesota-made feature film "Pollywogs" were also named runners-up in the Audience Award category.

Minneapolis actress Emily Fradenburgh won the TCFF Breakthrough Achievement Award for the psychological thriller "Nothing Without You."

Seventy-five films were screened at the TCFF, which ran for 10 days at the ShowPlace ICON Theatre in St. Louis Park. The festival wrapped up Saturday night.
