Summit Brewing wants drinkers to name its special brew for the Minnesota State Fair
For the second year in a row Summit Brewing is letting the public name its special brew for the Minnesota State Fair.
Last year, Tuck Combs of St. Paul came up with "Summit Lazy Sipper" to win the contest, which earned him the experience of making the first batch at Summit's official brewery in St. Paul.
"And if you don’t break anything, you’ll be invited back a few weeks later to be the first person to taste the new beer. Before everyone else. Which is a pretty big deal," Summit says.
Before we get to how you can submit a cool name, you should know that this year's State Fair beer will be a Helles-style lager with low bitterness and 4.2 percent alcohol.

Some of the expected ingredients: Scarlett malting barley, experimental hop TRI2303 from YCH (no idea what that is), and fresh blood orange.
You can send ideas to contests@summitbrewing.com until May 20, but you're encouraged to check with Ratebeer, BeerAdvocate or Untappd to see if your name is already in use by another beer.
Make sure you include your full name, phone number, address and beer name in your email.
They'll hold a public vote for some of their favorite names later in May.
