Twin Cities-based Sun Country Airlines will offer airport shuttle service to connect five cities in Minnesota and Wisconsin to its routes from MSP Airport, it announced Tuesday.
Partnering with Landline Select shuttle service, Sun Country Airlines will offer connections to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport from Brainerd, Rochester, and St. Cloud in Minnesota, and La Crosse and Eau Claire in Wisconsin.
Connections are available for all of Sun Country Airlines’ 63 destinations, with the Landline Select service providing transportation for up to four passengers via its "fleet of vehicles."
Sun Country Airlines first began offering shuttle connections in 2019 with service from Duluth and Mankato.
When booking a flight, passengers will see their city listed as the departure destination and information about which legs of the trip will be on land and which will be in the air. Luggage will be transferred directly from the shuttle to the plane.
After a devastating year for the travel industry, airlines are beginning to show signs of life as vaccinations roll out across the country.
Last month, Sun Country announced it was expanding service to nine more destinations from MSP. The new routes include flights to large cities as well as popular outdoor destinations for more COVID-19-friendly travel.
“We are excited to make our convenient service, low fares and comfortable onboard experience available to more Midwesterners,” said Sun Country Airlines Chief Revenue Officer Grant Whitney of the Landline Select expansion.
“Our mission is to provide affordable, hassle-free service, while connecting our customers to great vacation destinations. We’re excited to expand our network to these five new cities.”
