Disney stores will open inside 25 Target stores across the U.S. for the first time on Friday, including Minnesota.
If Minnesotans want to check out the new selection of Disney gear, you'll have to head to the Target in Maple Grove, which is the only Minnesota store on the launch list.
It's the first time the two companies have collaborated on a "shop-in-shop" concept, with the Disney stores taking up an estimated 750 square foot of space within each Target.
"The Disney store at Target is a shopping experience for the entire family, with music, interactive displays, photo opportunities and a seating area where families can relax and watch Disney movie clips and events and play games," Target said on Wednesday.
The Disney store at Target will open in Maple Grove at 7 a.m., with Stormtroopers from "Star Wars" joining the first 200 shoppers in line for photos between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
That will coincide with Target's release of new "Star Wars" merchandise ahead of the release of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" in movie theaters this December, as well as the premiere of "The Mandalorian" on Disney's new streaming service, Disney+, on Nov. 12.
The Disney stores are expected to carry more than 450 products, around 100 of which could previously only be found in Disney's own stores.
