The first new Hershey's bar in 22 years has no chocolate

A new addition to your s'mores?

The first new Hershey's bar in two decades (and only the fourth in its history) is on its way – and it contains zero chocolate.

Called Hershey's Gold, it's described as a "caramelized creme" bar with peanuts and pretzel pieces baked inside.

It gives eaters a "sweet, buttery taste" that's topped off "with a creamy and crunchy finish," Hershey said in a press release.

If you're confused by the description of the taste, think of "creme" as the filling in the standard Oreo, which Hershey is changing gold by caramelizing it.

The finished product is a "new flavor and new experience unlike any others before."

It's only the fourth Hershey's bar released in the company's history, which started when the original milk chocolate Hershey bar went on sale in 1900.

This was followed by Hershey's Special Dark in 1939 and Cookies 'n' Creme in 1995.

The new Gold bar is the first of those four to not be made withchocolate.

If you're eager to get your hands on one, you'll have to wait until it hits stores on Dec. 1.

And since winter's upon us, you'll have to wait a little longer if you want to try it out on a s'more.
