During Thursday's Oscar nominations, one of the best-reviewed films of the year was, as they say, snubbed.

"The Lego Movie" wasn't nominated for Best Animated Feature Film, much to the chagrin of many fans.

But the director of the beloved flick had some fun with it:

He later tweeted: "This is not a tragedy. Congrats to incredible crew and cast of The Lego Movie, who made a classic."

It did get one nomination though: Best Original Song.
