A yodeling cowgirl turned rock singer turned full-time nanny is the latest Minnesotan to make it on NBC's "The Voice."

Kat Perkins, 33, performed Fleetwood Mac's "Gold Dust Woman" for her blind audition, which aired Monday night. Her performance made three of the four coaches turn their chairs, hoping she'd pick them to help her master her craft.

In the end, Perkins went with Team Adam coached by Maroon 5 frontman and defending champion Adam Levine.

"Kat was my big score, because she's really great. I mean, that girl's going to go a lot further, I think, than we realize," Levine said, according to Yahoo TV.

Perkins, who grew up on a farm in North Dakota, was a yodeling cowgirl in a country western review show in high school. In 2003, she made the switch to rock music – she performed in a band that opened up at one time for Bon Jovi, KARE 11 reports. She decided to take a break from the music business and became a nanny for an Edina family of five, with whom she created an unofficial band to have some fun.

The show was her chance to return to doing what she loves – it is the first time she has gone solo, according to her bio on 'The Voice' website. Fleetwood Mac's "Gold Dust Woman" showcased her "country-rock, bad-girl style," Yahoo TV says.

Perkins isn't the first Minnesotan to make it on 'The Voice' – Eagan's Nicholas David finished third in 2012. Last September, Minneapolis native Holly Henry wowed the coaches.
