There's a Bob Dylan musical in the UK, and it may be coming to the U.S. soon

You can preorder the soundtrack now.

Yes, Bob Dylan fans, it's true there's now a critically acclaimed stage production based on the singer-songwriter's music.

Unfortunately, it's also true that you can only see it at the Old Vic, a world-renowned theater ... in London, England.

But don't worry: Girl from the North Country is coming to you soon, and potentially in more ways than one.

Named after a famous track off 1963's The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (but you totally already knew that), the stage production from celebrated Irish playwright Conor McPherson opened in July to strong reviews

The play is set in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1934 – about seven years before Dylan was born there – and follows a cast of characters "living on a knife-edge huddle together in the local guesthouse," the Old Vic's website says

And though it's only running through Oct. 7, there are now plans in the works to bring the musical to the U.S., and "possibly Broadway," Rolling Stone reports.

No firm dates on when that might be happening yet, but you won't have to wait long to get a taste of Girl from the North Country. A cast recording of the play is coming out this month.

"Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, the album will feature 19 tracks from the full 20-piece company of singers and musicians," according to WhatsOnStage, which says the soundtrack will be released on Sept. 29.

If you're feeling anxious, you can preorder it on Amazon now
