There's a private memorial being held for Prince in Minnetonka tonight

Hundreds of people are expected to attend a private memorial for Prince in Minnetonka Sunday night, according to reports.

Kari Spreeman, a spokesperson for the city, told media outlets that Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall asked the police department for help with traffic control for the 5 p.m. invite-only event.

“It’s the police and city’s understanding that this is a memorial service for Prince,” Spreeman told FOX 9. “The church is asking for privacy.”

She also confirmed that police were told to prepare for up to 50 "high-profile guests," the Star Tribune says.

An elder with the church says the service will include singing and scripture reading, KSTP reports.

Prince, who converted to the faith in 2003, would attend Sunday services at the hall when he was in town, the Star Tribune notes.

Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, posted on Facebook that she nor her brother's remains will attend any of the services or memorials that are planned, besides those her family arranged because "once is enough." However, she did say she supports "any and all memorials or funerals that have happened and/or are being planned."

Nelson said the family is still working on "planning an official memorial service and public event" for Prince, probably for sometime in August, but they'll provide "more updates soon."

Sunday's memorial is the latest in tributes to Prince. His family held a private, intimate ceremony days after Prince's April 21 death.

Prince's two ex-wives held a private service in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. Director Spike Lee and producer-musician Nile Rodgers were among those who attended the "star-studded" memorial, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Following Wednesday's service, Lee posted on Instagram that there would be another memorial for Prince in Brooklyn, New York, in June.
