These were Minnesota's most popular baby names in 2019

Several of the names have made the list before.

Expect to encounter a lot of little Minnesotans named Henry, Oliver, Olivia and Evelyn in the coming years, because once again, they're the state's top baby names.

That's according to the Minnesota Health Department (MDH), which has released its list of the most popular Minnesota baby names of 2019.

For girls, the top five were:

Olivia
Evelyn
Charlotte
Nora
Amelia

For boys, the top five were:

Henry
Oliver
William
Theodore
Jack

The top two names in each category were also in the top spots last year as well as in 2017.

What's more, this is the third year in a row that every name on this list — save for Jack — has made the state's top 10 baby names.

This reflects some national trends, too.

Minnesota's most popular girl's name, Olivia, is also a big hit throughout the U.S., coming in at number two in BabyCenter's Top 100 Baby Names of 2019.

Of MDH's most popular boy names, only Oliver made it into the top 10 of the BabyCenter ranking, coming in at number nine.
