Third Minnesota singer falls short in blind audition round on 'The Voice'

Minneapolis singer Dustin Hatzenbuhler came up short Tuesday night in his bid to find a coach and advance into competition on the NBC reality competition "The Voice," the Pioneer Press reports.

Hatzenbuhler, 24, sang the Michael Buble hit "Haven't Met You Yet," but his voice apparently didn't impress remaining coaches Shakira or Usher enough to make their teams.

The teams for the other two coaches on the series -- Adam Levine and Blake Shelton -- are already full.

Mark Andrew Pudas of Eden Prairie -- who goes by Mark Andrew -- is the only Minnesotan to advance past the blind audition round.

Both Landon Medvec of Rosemount and Betsy Barta of Minneapolis, however, missed out on the opportunity to advance when auditioning in the blind audition rounds last week.

The competition rounds begins next week, where Andrew will attempt to advance to the finals like Nicholas David from Eagan did last year.

David ended up finishing third in the competition.
