Tickets for Louis CK shows in Minneapolis sell out within hours

Acme Comedy Company announced the shows Thursday morning, and tickets were quickly scooped up.

A slate of upcoming shows by the disgraced comedian Louis C.K. at Acme Comedy Company sold out within hours of the announcement.

The renowned Minneapolis comedy club revealed the upcoming gigs in an email to subscribers Thursday morning. CK will perform five shows over three nights:

  • July 22 — 8 p.m.
  • July 23 — 7 p.m., 9:30 p.m.
  • July 24 — 7 p.m., 9:30 p.m.

By 3 p.m., the website showed tickets to each performance were sold out. The price was listed at $44.75.

Acme Comedy Company notes the show is 18+ and "a phone-free experience."

"Anyone seen using a cellphone during the performance will be escorted out of the venue," the club says, noting any recording devices are also prohibited. There will also be no refunds, exchanges or name changes for tickets.

This will be the second run of shows at Acme Comedy Company for CK since he admitted to masturbating in front of women without their permission, after some of the victims went public with their stories. The comedian did eight shows at Acme in May of 2019.

As of about 4 p.m. Thursday, the venue had not announced the Louis CK shows on its social media pages. The shows were eventually added to the calendar on its website.
