No, your eyes didn't deceive you, that headline is accurate.
"The Big Ticket" Kevin Garnett, Minnesota Timberwolves legend, is starring in a movie with Adam Sandler.
Not only that, the movie, "Uncut Gems," is getting some serious buzz in Oscars circles, with its official trailer dropping on Tuesday morning.
Here's the trailer in which Garnett appears prominently (extremely offensive language warning).
The movie sees Sandler star as a New York jeweler to the stars on the "lookout for the next big score," placing a series of high-stakes bets that could land him the "windfall of a lifetime."
These bets, it seems, center on the Boston Celtics when Garnett was playing for them, with Sandler's character saying: "So I want the Celtics to cover, I want the Celtics halftime, I want Garnett points and rebounds."
Garnett is shown speaking with Sandler on several occasions, with at one point a Celtics championship ring being sold at a pawn shop.
The movie gets its general release on Dec. 13, but has already been talked about in Oscars circles after it received its debut at the Toronto Film Festival.
Mediaite notes that the movie already has a 94 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes after the early reviews came in, with Tuesday's trailer adding to the buzz it could be in for an Oscar.
It looks like Garnett has punched himself a Big Ticket to the Academy Awards.
