Minneapolis rockers Sleep Signals seek help from their fans after their tour was destroyed by fire last week.

The band were in Springfield, Missouri last Saturday when a faulty transmission is believed to have sparked a fire that the members were lucky to escape from.

But the van was ablaze, destroying everything inside it, including most of the band's personal belongings. They aren't kidding either, check out this video they posted of the fire.

Fortunately they've been able to keep their dates so far, thanks to some fans from Tennessee who drove all the way out to Missouri before taking them to their next tour stops in Texas.

They have now set up a GoFundMe to help cover the cost of a new van so they can continue their tour alongside fellow Twin Cities group Cold Kingdom.

– Rock band Cold Kingdom have $33K of gear stolen.

In a statement, Sleep Signals said: "First and foremost, we want to let everyone know that everyone in Sleep Signals is safe. As many of you know, our tour vehicle caught fire on Saturday and is a total loss.

"We are currently scrambling to get everything back together to get back onto the tour as soon as possible.

"As much as we'd like to do this on our own, the losses we've incurred are too great for us to handle without help. Please consider contributing to help us get back onto the road."

The GoFundMe has so far raised $1,405 out of a $15,000 goal.

Sleep Signals was formed in 2014 and started touring in early 2015, since playing 175 shows in 26 states, according to its Facebook page.
