Valleyfair to welcome 'Grand Carnivale,' it's largest ever event, in 2020
Valleyfair has announced it will host its "largest ever event" to Shakopee in 2020.
The theme park revealed it will next year play host to Grand Carnivale, a traveling extravaganza that takes guests on a cultural tour of the world over a 23-day festival.
Valleyfair says it's the "largest event and entertainment line-up in Valleyfair’s history," with the event having recently finished up a stint the Worlds of Fun theme park in Kansas.
Being held between July 25 and Aug. 16, it will feature a nightly "Spectacle of Color" parade comprising 150 costumed performers and 7 multicolor floats.
Elsewhere, there will be stalls sending a vast array of world food and drink, crafts, games, and a "Carnivale Street Party" that includes dancing and family-friendly activities.
"We are excited to produce this new immersive event on a scale that Valleyfair guests have never seen before," said Raul Rehnborg, Valleyfair’s General Manager, in a press release.
"Grand Carnivale will be an incredible and unique experience that you will want to share with family and friends in 2020."
