Walker announces Rock the Garden 2013 lineup

Canadian indie rock quartet Metric is headlining the 2013 Rock the Garden lineup at the Walker Art Center's Sculpture Garden this summer, the Star Tribune reports.

The June 15 event also features Silversun Pickups, Dan Deacon, as well as Duluth natives Low and Twin Cities music legend and Hüsker Dü founder Bob Mould.

According to the Star Tribune, Mould will perform with the trio he toured with last year, which played songs from Hüsker Dü, Sugar and his "Silver Age" album.

Metric fans are somewhat getting a double dose of the band in the Twin Cities, since core members Emily Haines and James Shaw will perform the night before at National Public Radio/Minnesota Public Radio's live "Wits" program at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul.

Co-sponsored by 89.3 the Current, tickets for Rock the Garden 2013 go on sale April 19 .
