Want free movies and popcorn on Tuesday? Head to East Bethel

The Emagine movie theater is celebrating its re-opening with a giveaway.

If your wallet is a little lighter after the Black Friday weekend, East Bethel is the place to go on Tuesday for a freebie.

That's because Emagine has completed the "state-of-the-art, luxury" upgrade of its East Bethel movie theater, and will be hosting a grand re-opening party all day Tuesday to celebrate.

And this celebration takes the form of free movies and free 44 oz. popcorns all day at the 18635 Ulysses St. NE cinema.

The renovated movie theater now features leather heated reclining seats, larger screens and reserved seating.

It's also installed Coke Freestyle drinks machines, a full-service bar with beer on tap, wine and cocktails, and stone-baked handcrafted pizzas.

It's part of a growing trend for movie theaters to transform to more luxury, event-like experiences, as more consumers stay at home to watch streaming content.

Similar upgrades have been carried out at other Emagine movie theaters across the country, while the Mall of America notably re-opened its cinema as a luxury theater earlier this year.
