Watch: 2 men create an ice carousel on Ely lake
After a month of labor, two men succeeded in creating the most festive of scenes on a Northland lake ahead of Christmas.
The video below shows the ice carousel created by Joe Bianco and Cam Regan, of Ely, on Burntside Lake.
According to KBJR, the pair spent a day cutting the ice in the lake and then installing a trolling motor so the ice would spin.
They also spent month creating the ice sculptures and luminaries they placed in the middle of the spinning floe, creating a stunning winter spectacle that was recorded by Taylor Johnson.
