It's a case of life imitating art in Northeast Minneapolis, where Bauhaus Brew Labs has released a new ad that pays homage to one of the most celebrated episodes of "The Simpsons."
The brewery gets top marks for announcing the return of its Winterloper Baltic Porter by paying homage to "The Simpsons" with a real-life version of a commercial that features in Season 4 episode, "Mr Plow."
Before you ask, no, it's not "Mr. Plow, that's my name, that name again is Mr. Plow."
It's the second commercial commissioned by Homer as he tries to hit back at Barney, who launched a rival snow-plowing business, "The Plow King."
Here's the ad from "The Simpsons."
And the effort from Bauhaus.
Bauhaus says that its Winterloper beer is "as dark as this art-house film," serving "a rich blend of malt flavors expressing caramel and dried fruit with a smooth, roasty finish."
The ad was produced by Urban Mountain and shot at the Northrup King Building and the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association.
For the heck of it, here's the original Mr. Plow ad.
