They say that to excel on stage, performers cannot be afraid to express themselves. And this youngster apparently needed to let the world hear his take on the "Imperial March" from "Star Wars," even if it meant ignoring what he was supposed to be singing.

This video was shared by Erin Gibson of Minneapolis Sunday morning:

According to Gibson, the video is from last summer at a family talent show, and taken by Gina Gibson.

It's funny, it's cute, it's shareable. But Gibson probably never could have guessed it'd be this popular.

Not even 24 hours after being published, her tweet had well over a quarter million likes, more than 55,000 retweets, and nearly 3 million views.

It's gotten big boosts from stars, including a like from Luke Skywalker himself Mark Hamill, and a retweet from Chance the Rapper.

The Force is strong with this one.
