Watch: Moorhead choir's school shutdown song is a Facebook hit

'It's colder than Fargo,' the choir and carolers sing.

A Polar Vortex update from the choir and carolers of Moorhead Schools has been a bit of a viral hit on social media this week.

The video below shows members of the choir making an announcement of a two-hour delay to the start of school, to the tune of "Happy Together" by The Turtles.

"It's colder than Fargo!" goes the refrain, with Moorhead Schools Superintendent Brandon Lupak making a guest appearance.

"When Tuesday morning came, I slept 'til noon and then I watched my Netflix show and my cartoon, I didn't do my homework yet, it's way too soon, it's colder than Fargo!" goes one of the verses.

The video was uploaded on Wednesday, and since then has been shared more than 1,600 times on Facebook, being viewed more than 110,000 times.

Correction: An earlier version of this story stated the students sang "I slept alone," when in fact they sang "I slept 'til noon." We apologize for the error.
