St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter can do more than just win elections – he's a dab hand at musical comedy too.

Carter shared a video this past week of him singing about being St. Paul's first black mayor at MinnPost's annual MinnRoast song-and-skit variety show.

The cellphone video of Carter's altered version of Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" (renamed "Brown Eyed Mayor" by Carter) went over a treat with his social media followers.

Now you can enjoy a higher quality version courtesy of MinnPost, which published its own video of Carter's performance on YouTube.

Check it out.
