We Went There: The hottest trend in ice cream has arrived in Minnesota

We went there and tried it.

If you've been on Facebook, you've probably seen one of these food porn videos of people rolling up some of the most gram-worthy ice cream of all time.

It's rolled ice cream and Minnesota has its first shop serving up the delicate frozen custard.

Wonders Ice Cream opened in St. Paul in August and co-founder Joungkong Yang says it's pretty popular.

We got to sample a few of the ice cream treats: traditional rolled ice cream and an ice cream taco.

Both had Wonders' blue mint ice cream and were delicious. The ice cream was rich and creamy, and the rolls gave it a fun, delicate, airy texture.

A lot of thought went into developing the perfect flavors. Yang says it took 362 tries to get the cookies and cream flavor just right. Now it's Yang's favorite.

Yang calls this trend "the hibachi of ice cream," because it's not just about the food, it's also about the experience. The ice cream is made right before your eyes, so it takes a few minutes.

It's absolutely mesmerizing to watch though. Just check out the video above.
