Wells Roadside now open in the former Galaxy Drive In

New owners are carrying the longtime restaurant property into the future.

Wells Roadside officially opened Tuesday in St. Louis Park's former Galaxy Drive In.

The new year-round, quick-service restaurant is the Twin Cities' newest burger joint, building on over 70 years of restaurant history at the property.

Open daily from 10:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m., Wells Roadside specializes in wagyu smash burgers, hot dogs, fresh-cut fries and ice cream and offers a dog-friendly outdoor patio.

Hopkins-based Craft & Crew Hospitality, which operates Pub 819, Duke's on 7, Stanley's NE Bar Room, The Howe and other Twin Cities restaurants, is behind the new concept.

The Galaxy Drive In closed in 2015.
