What stores are open and closed on Thanksgiving Day 2019?

While Minnesotans sit down with their families and prepare for their Thanksgiving feasts, spare a thought for the workers who are preparing to open their doors for holiday shoppers.

Thanksgiving marks the start of the Black Friday holiday shopping period, with some retailers opening increasingly early on Thanksgiving itself to take advantage of early shoppers.

But there are still those who choose to stay closed until Black Friday itself.

Ace Hardware: Closed.

Bath and Body Works – 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. (depends on mall hours)

Best Buy – 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Cabela's 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Carter's – 6 p.m. to midnight (though hours vary, check locally)

Claire's – 5 p.m. to midnight.

Costco – Closed

CVS – normal hours.

Dick's Sporting Goods – 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Dollar General – 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Express – 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. (mall stores will close sooner).

Fleet Farm – Closed.

Gamestop – 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Gordmans – 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

H&M — Closed.

Hobby Lobby – Closed.

Ikea – Closed.

JCPenney – 2 p.m. through to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Jo-Ann Fabrics – Closed.

Kmart – 6 p.m. to midnight.

Kohl's – 5 p.m. through midnight on Black Friday.

Macy's – 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Michaels – 6 p.m. to midnight.

Nordstrom – Closed.

Old Navy – 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Black Friday.

Pet Smart – Closed.

REI — Closed (Also closed Black Friday).

Sam's Club – Closed.

Sears – 6 p.m. to midnight. 

Staples – Closed.

Target – 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.

TJ Maxx – Closed.

Walgreens – normal store hours.

Walmart – 6 p.m. to end of Black Friday

World Market – Closed.
