Got some last-minute gift shopping or errands to run? If you've left them until Christmas Eve, you're not totally out of luck — but time is of the essence.
Most businesses will be open, but many will be closing early, so take a look at this list before heading out on Tuesday.
Most will be open but close early. TCF Banks will close at 2 p.m. while campus branches at UMD and Coffman will be closed completely.
Your local post office should be open on Christmas Eve, though they will likely close earlier than usual – some as soon as noon – so check before you head out.
Mail will be delivered as usual on Dec. 24.
Metro Transit and regional Twin Cities transit providers will operate a reduced service on Christmas Eve, with routes following Saturday schedules, though some of the busier routes will have extra trips. Weekend fares will be charged.
The Northstar will be running, albeit also on a reduced service, with the standard charge applying.

Most grocery stores will be open during Christmas Eve, but expect them to close early in the evening.
Whole Foods, for example, will have "modified hours," with the company advising shoppers to check their local stores ahead of time; meanwhile, Costco and Hy-Vee will close at 5 p.m (NOTE: Some individual Costcos may have different hours, so check with your local store).
Others, such as Cub Foods, may be open later, but check with your local store for hours. Target stores will also vary by location, while Walmart will be open till 8 p.m, per Good Housekeeping.
The Mall of America will also close at 6 p.m., as will the Southdale Center in Edina and the Eden Prairie Center, while the Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka will close at 5 p.m.
Check your favorite stores and malls for times.
You'll have to check your local store for hours, but liquor stores are required by Minnesota law to close by 8 p.m. at the latest on Christmas Eve.
